Okay my mum (49) is looking to become a live out nanny after a 12 year career fostering young offenders.

I'm looking for some advice for her on how she would go about getting into nannying as a proffesion.

TIA for any advice :)

She should just advertise her services and talk to people. I think her experience as a mother is probably better than the young offender years.

There are no legally required qualifications to be a nanny (and rightly so!). She just needs an employer.

do a postcode search on childcare.co.uk, and gumtree and see who needs a nanny in your area, she could also put an advert on.
In the meantime she could do a first aid course and get ofsted registered if she wants to. It would mean parents can pay with vouchers.
