Anyone know of an affordable Nanny Agency that introduces good Nannies?

I have looked at Imperial Nannies and Little Ones so far they are too pricey for me.

Are there any cheaper ones?

Thanks

Little Kingdom Childcare cover Kent and London. They will certainly be much cheaper though you would need to contact them to see if they have any nannies on their books looking for work in your area.

nannyjob is good then you can use an agency to check refs / CRB etc once you have found a candidate

I'm trying "Little Masters and Misses" at the moment... Covers South-East only (including SE/S London). £400 placement fee. I know it sounds very miserly, especially considering getting the right nanny is so important, but I am not keen on paying £3000 to an agency as well as the nanny's salary. I think it's quite right that good nannies are paid well to work long hours but it still is an awful lot of your gross salary going on childcare. And we are moving house so have no spare cash at all at the moment! Got some rather strange people applying on nannyjob by the way - pretty similar to gumtree although did get a couple of CVs that look ok.

Thanks for your help £400 is a very cheap placement fee I will have a look!
I have Just found a Nanny Job Site that seems to cover London: Nannyjobcentre.co.uk
I may consider putting an add there too before I use an agency as it is not much to post an add £18.99, has anyone else tried putting an add there?
What was the feedback like?

Many thanks again
