I am in the middle/beginning/or just starting difficult to say the process of becoming registered childminder.

I had to go to the doctor to fill in the health check form from Ofsted - at the beginning I was told it will cost me £80.00 but today I went to pick it up and I have just payed £20.00.

What a nice start to a day.

Good news!

I was lucky with my GP, she is a very nice woman. She didnt charge me anything to fill in and sign mine! Another CM I know who uses the same surgery was charged 84 pounds!

Hope the registration goes smoothly for you :)

Hi Lola

Welcome to cm. Great news. You talk heading got my attention, made me curious to know what is was.

Look forward to hearing more from you on Mumsnet. All the best in your cm process.

Excuse me asking was it expensive to begin the process ie the pre courses?

That is my first payment. Next one is for Ofsted £35.00, but it depends where you live, in some places you need to pay for everything.

Thanks I am hoping to be done till January 2012.
