Rules on being registered as a CM

A friend of mine has asked if I would look after her DD for 1 or 2 days a week at her house starting in September. My DD is the same age so it would be just like going over to play but without my friend there.

Do I need to be registered for this or can it be an informal arrangement?

I know a couple of people who do this or similar but I'm not sure if it's above board.

I'm on Income Support so can only earn £20 a week. Should probably let them know I suppose.

That sounds good about not needing to be registered if it's at her house.

Thanks.
