I've posted this in Student Parents too

I am going to restart my NVQ in Childcare and Education - I need this qualification.

I failed last time because I didn't get my homework done

Will anyone commit to nagging me regularily?
To get off MN and do my coursework?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I will, i went to do my gcse maths tonight so you will have to keep asking me about that. Have got 4 books to read this weekend about maths. How very riverting! Could think of much better things to do on my only day off this week.

katymac · 10/11/2005 21:49

I can't work evenings - But early mornings and weekends

Good luck with your maths (I'm a whizz at maths - if you need any help - just ask)

Why do you need it so much and are you getting funding for it?

katymac · 10/11/2005 21:54

Because we work with so many others (ie 3 other minders and 3 assistanst) OFSTED have suggested that someone has an NVQ 3

It's not a requirement (yet) but I feel I have to comply

Also - my Network keep mentioning it

I'm so capable of the work - just struggling to find the time

I have to do it

No funding (I got it free last time and it's £350 this time)

I don't want to do anything ever again that involves me having to write assignments - I think you're all mad! (Actually, I think it's pretty good, but I've still had enough of assignments).

jellyjelly · 10/11/2005 21:57

Have thought about doing this course but at 700 (even though it could be funded) i have lots of other things to do.

What assignments were they? like healthy eating for children?

jellyjelly · 10/11/2005 21:57

Have posted other reply in student bit

katymac · 10/11/2005 21:59

I have just finished mine. It took 7mths. Are you on the new 0-16 syllabus? If not and you are still ploughing through the old one shout if you want any help.

katymac · 12/11/2005 23:06

Oh god yes I'm on the old one and I so need help - however unless you can make 28 hr days I think I'm stuffed

OP posts:
goosey · 12/11/2005 23:19

I can't do that - there aren't enough hours in the day for me either - but contact me through my email address which is on my website OR CAT me and I'm sure I can give loads of electronic help.

katymac · 12/11/2005 23:24

Thanks Goosey - I've cat'ed you

It's a nightmare with 10.5 hrs of actual working each day (never mind dd and her homework/accounts/cleaning/etc)

I really love C/Ming sometimes
