Anyone interested in a nannyshare in SW13?

Hi there,
My baby boy was born in March 2011 and I have to go back to work at the end of July 2011. I am looking to share a nanny 5 days/week (11 hours) with one other family with a baby or child. We live in SW13 9ET. We haven't sourced the nanny yet but we can do the interview/hiring together with the other family.
If you are looking to share a nanny around the same months mentioned above, please contact me at [email protected]

And now a few questions to other people who have a nanny sharing arrangement:

  • How do you find the other family? I have put an ad out on childcare.co.uk and the nannysharers website, and have responses from nannies but not from other families!.. Am I missing something obvious??
  • Any tips on the nanny sharing arrangement going smoothly?

Thanks a lot!

I found my nannyshare partner through the NCT - all the coffee morning chat was about child care once baby was 3 months old (mind you, this was in the days when 6 months maternity leave was all you got).

Have you tried

  • Natsons' notice board?
  • the Barnes Community Association? they have au pairs round there a lot, and one might be experienced enough for you
  • Kitson Hall notice board? Lots of baby classes there, and that nursery, so you might find someone who reads the boards there
  • asking local schools if they would mind mailing parents? This is a bit cheeky obviously but they do all email parents nowadays, and it puts you in touch with someone who might be hoping to use less childcare as their LO starts school.

Good luck with your search! I am in SW13 too, with much older children, and there is not a lot of childcare round here.
