Question says it all really. Work until 7pm. Going back end of September. Husband works away. No family near enough to help out. All the nurseries I've looked at seem to finish around 6pm. Don't have space for an au pair.

Help !!!!

Nanny? Or a mix of nanny and nursery (i.e. morning nursery, if you can drop DC off, and then nanny pick them up at lunch or mid-afternoon?) I'm sure there must be a solution!

You'll need a nanny - which could well be a nanny-share - I think.

Advertise for someone just to do collection and take your baby home until you get back.

I a childminder, most of my parents commute to the city, so a lot of my minded children come 7am to 7pm

apotomak · 09/05/2011 13:38

How about a childminder? I'm a childminder and can work late if required or even offer overnight stays. You still get to keep your privacy as childminder will only look after the child in her own home. Childminder will cost you less than nanny.

Hi

I'm a soon-to-be childminder! Where do you live? I would probably consider up-to 7:30, not every day but part time?

I'm in Liverpool.
