How to politely turn down a family

As I am a new cm, I am not sure how to tell one family that I have chosen another. I am in the fortunate position of not having enough slots to fit these two families in. I really like both families and don't want to offend either of them. How do I say it in a positive way (or can't I)?

"I'm very sorry but I have just signed contracts with another family whose hours were a better fit with the children I already have on my books. I wish I could have fitted you both in to be honest, but as you know, Ofsted limit how many children we can look after at once"

You could always suggest another good CM or two as well to help them in their search?
