I am taking dd to a show tomorrow which is something to do with the mum of one of my mindees. Mum has called me and asked if I could take mindee? The show is at 1 but she needs to drop him of at 8am. Dilemma........she knows I am going so I can't say no but it is my day off so I don't know what to do.....

Will she pay you?

Even if not then I would probably agree as long as she is generally a good "customer" and you have a good relationship with her and her dd.

Possibly you could agree to take the mindee, but tell the mother than unfortunately you have plans for the first part of the morning but you would be happy to take the child from 11am (or whenever suits you)

'Sorry I'm not working tomorrow.'

oh tricky one

A compromise, as outlined by onepiece above?

Deffo not an 8am start

If you want to do it, then fine. If you don't and you want to spend some special 1:1 time with your own DD, who doesn't often get you to herself, then say so.
