Emergency babysitters in South London (SM5) ?

I would be grateful for any info regarding emergency babysitters able to work in Carshalton, Sutton (SM5).

We are going to have our second baby, and we will need someone to take care of our 4 y.o. daughter when I will be accompanying my wife to the hospital for the childbirth (hopefully, in the first days of June). So it is going to be a one-off job with a very short notice, could happen any time, day or night, and it could last up to 12 hrs.

I understand that our requirements are very special, and therefore would very much appreciate any advice regarding the babysitters or agencies in the area.

Hello! You could use Likeminders, an agency I'm registered with, who do emergency and ad hoc childcare - however I think they would probably find someone in advance who had availability to be on call, as i think they only operate during office hours, if that makes sense. Its possibly not very helpful but I dont live (too) far from you and work as a nanny mon-thursday and some fridays, I'd be happy to do any time over a weekend if you'd like me to pass on my details. Obviously babies dont come to schedule but i spose theres every chance it may come on a weekend!

Fab, hope they can be of help... I have only babysat once through them but they were very nice, and thorough. Some of my friends have registered with them and get a fair bit of work so with any luck there will be someone who can help you!

Hello, I have a friend who is going to be staying in Wimbledon/Merton from Mid May to Mid July. She is american and is over here because her husband is doing an internship in Westminster. She has been working for a couple of years as a nanny in the states. I'm sure you could speak to her and she would be happy to be 'on call' for you as she doesn't have any work for the 2 months she is here. PM me if you want her contact details :)
