It looks like we've managed to recruit from AP World. (fingers remaining crossed)

Just a quick question as the agency has driven this process before - do you ask for 'evidence' they've booked their flights as confirmation?

After how long? Immediately or are you happy to leave it a couple of months. She wouldn't be starting until September so I'm not sure what's usual. The agency usually encourages them to book quite quickly - is this how things go in the 'real world too' ?

I'd want to see evidence that they are coming asap so i would ask them to do so within the next 2 weeks.

I would also want a flight booked and confirmation sent to me with the perfectly reasonable justification that you want to know roughly when they are coming and where they are coming to!

Well, DS arrived last Thursday so recruitment is on hold for a little bit! My nice young one emailed me asking if there was any baby news so she still seems interested and so did the one who is fab but can't really do the start date I need unless I'm very crafty about timetabling...

He's a very good baby so far - eats, sleeps, poos explosively and only cries when any self-respecting baby should. Still with the sharks though.
