ok before i start i am pro nannies was previously one for 16yrs and loved it.i was in a park on thursday with my minded children i had a nearly 3 and 6 yr old and an 8 yr old.i was following the two yr old around as i was i noticed agroup of nannies(sorry could tell children calling them by their first names). One of them was nannying a little girl of about 14 months the little girls kept leaving her group then would keep going back .but then she had climbed the stairs to the climbing frame which leads to nothing i thought she was going to fall, my heart was in my mouth.i asked her if she would like me to help her down she immediately put her hands over her face then the nanny came over and got her and said what you doing on there!well she was only a baby and she should not have been left to go around abusy park while her nanny sunbathed!!

When childminders, or mums, dads, nannies, au-pairs, anyone really meet in a group, an adults full attention may become distracted.

However I find that the group as a whole tends to keep a watch on all the children, especially as often children like to play with other children within the group so may not be near their carer.
