Hallo all of you here. Please get me some advice here.I have been offered a job, nanny for 8 months old baby, full time job,pay offered £10,70 gross per hour in Weybridge area.My quastion is ,should i accept this pay or try to negociate a bit?Iam 34 years old with 8years nanny experiences, ofsted registered, use my own car for work,Maternity Practitioner Award, some few short childcare courses done.
Please advice if i should accept this pay or i was thinking to askfor £12 gross per hour? Also they would like me to do some cleaning and ironing once a week.Thank you all.

I live in weybridge and work in cobham, looking after a 13 month old, I am on approx 10.50 gr a hr working 46 hrs a week. I am 33 have 15 yrs exper 7 of these as a nanny and all the same quals etc as you. So I would say yes about right for wage, maybe ask for more and neg to inbetween, if you can live on that wage and the job is the right one for you, then I would say go for it.

I would say that is pretty reasonable...Im fairly local to you and most nannies I know are on £9-£10 gross

I work near there, also on around 10 gross.

Cleaning and ironing - for the child or for all? Also what level of cleaning? General tidy round is fine, deep level clean stuff is a bit more a cleaner job than a nannies. However up to you to decide what things you will and won't do as part of a job and apply for jobs which suit.
