Nanny v Nanny housekeeper salary

Hi-would anyone be kind enough to advise if there is much of a difference to the pay for Nanny v Nanny/Housekeeper?

In one of my roles as a Nanny a few years ago i was the nanny with usual duties with one child and the cleaner was on a higher salary than me with no childcare involved.

I am at the moment looking at a very part time nanny housekeeper position (child at school) and wondered the difference if any?

Both my mates who nanny basically do some housekeeping as part of the job, though it's not in their job description.

Don't know official stance but perhaps a nanny agency would tell you?

How many hours did the cleaner work? I find that cleaners do earn more money than nannies (crazy I know!) but they tend to do less hours per day. In my last position the cleaner did 4 hours a day to my 12, she earned £10 per hour, whereas I earned £8 net per hour, so £40 per day compared to my £96.

Cleaners also tend to be self-employed (cash in hand to be honest) and so should pay tax and insurance out of their £10 per hour.

Nanny/housekeeper positions are generally along the same pay as a nanny, the children are generally older and so the housework is done while the children are at school. I personally would not do housekeeping work where there are young children at home every day (infact, I wouldn't personally be a nanny/housekeeper! I don't like house work!)
