Nannies and Maternity Leave & Returning to work

Any nannies out there who care to share when they left work before having their baby and how long you took off before returning to work (I'm assuming with your baby)

I left when I was 36 weeks as commute and hours was getting too much
I didnt return to my old job as it was too many hours so found another job and went back when my lo was 9 months old
sadly I have since lost that job and now currently unemployed :(

I was supposed to work untill i was just over 37 weeks (my choice) but in reality this was not a good idea, i ended up in hospital in the last week, not baby related but probably due to doing too much! In hindsight I probably should have finished about 35 weeks.

I went back after nearly a year to the same job

I worked til 36wks and had Ds at 38wks. It was tiring towards the end. I had one at school and a baby who was 5mths when I left. Carrying a baby in a carseat with a big bump is a little tricky. Also bending to bath her etc. Mb insisted I took her for an hours walk in her pram every day which I really struggled with as I had a nerve related leg pain and would end up practically hopping round. I didn't return to that job as worked most weekends, over nights and travelled 6-8wks a year with them.

I did get another job where I took Ds when he was a year but it was only ever a 9mth contract. Lovely, lovely family and we still meet regularly.

I have since had Dc2 and am looking for work again. Ds will go to a nursery and I'm hoping to find a job which will allow me to take Dc2.

With DD1 I worked until 34 weeks, went back to work when she was about 7 months old. With DD2 I finished at 34 weeks again then returned when she was about 6 months old.
I LOVE my job!

I'm think I am hoping to work til 38wks and go back after 3 months.
I have 2 jobs with 2 children in each of which 3 are at school so have a 3yo at home.
