MNT babycare course

I interviewed a lovely nanny today with lots of preschooler experience, but not with children under 15 months. I'm going to have a new baby soon, so I'd like to send her on the MNT babycare course.
Has anyone done it? Was it worth the money?

Which? The one day care of babies one?

If so I've not done it but I have done their maternity practitioner, highly recommend them as a company and have heard good reviews of that course from people on other sites who've done it.

Why not give MNT a bell and ask them for a few more details about what they cover and in what depth?

I did it when I wanted to add something to my cv and also move to working with babies. Honestly it is probably not worth the money for it's content alone (and you need to pay travel there as well if not local).

Think it did do the trick with my cv though as parents with babies noticed it, probably for more than it was worth content-wise. I also wouldn't rule out the sleep training and multiples ones if they didn't have to include travel and paying for b and b on top.

They did present it really well and covered loads but you have to go over it all again to remember it and so you might as well read a book and learn by doing alongside mum for a bit i.e. 'training'. It's no harm as an extra revision or intorduction type thing and v. up to date with changing practises so if you have 'spare' money go for it. I'm sure nanny would love it if you paid.

Thanks everyone, that particular lady turned out to be unsuitable anyway. Lovely as she was and experienced I tried to get an NI number out of her for setting up payroll and she only has a self-employed visa.
Interviewing again tomorrow and Friday.
