Childcare gift certificates

Hi - I am looking to get a friend in London a gift certificate that she could use to hire a mother's help or part-time nanny. She is about to have her second child and, due to her husband's work taking him away for long stretches of time, could use a little extra help. I am not in the UK and know nothing about which nanny agencies are reputable, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I have never heard of an agency doing this but have seen on some maternity nurses websites they offer this kind of thing.

Its a lovely idea though.

The only agency I deal with that covers whole of uk is www.kidsmatter.uk.com

As families pay the nanny direct could you source a post natal doula or maternity nanny and get the dad to help you so its a suprise for the mum?
