Writing notice letter to parents

Hi,
I am going off on maternity leave in 9/10 weeks and want to give the parents official confirmation of the last date I will be looking after the kids. can anyone give me some advice of what to write. Never had to tell anyone that they are leaving before.

Dear Parents

Please note that I shall be commencing maternity leave on XXXX and you should make alternative arrangements for your child/ren from this date.
