CMs - Information Sharing with other settings

I did a thread about this about a year or so ago but it wasn't quite what I'm about to ask now so I thought I'd just start a new thread :)

Can I ask for examples of how you share information with preschool, nursery etc?

The preschool where one of my mindees goes (not on the days they are with me) has a form that they put things on and also give me to add bits to but this is done every week. I have yet to have this form for this mindee as she's new but I know they'll be passing them to me shortly. I decided to actually do my own form so put one together and handed a completed one in today, hopefully they'll be ok with that. The nursery where some of my others attend don't have forms of their own, we communicate verbally and I provide obs I feel are appropriate etc.

I'm just interested in hearing different ideas. Also, how often these written communications are done?

I just have a link book that I share once or twice a term. I put photos and descriptions in of things we've done and the teachers have left their own comments, sometimes putting photos in of their own. The Ofsted inspector was very happy with it - teachers are as busy as we are and I don't want to overload them. I also copy their termly planning to try to link it to mine wherever possible.
