Does anyone know of a place where they will be doing a "day out with Thomas" in Surrey over the next few months?

Have a look here

Thanks :) That's perfect! Nothing really close, though. :(

There are no heritage railways to my knowledge in Surrey.
Thomas is at Watercress Line in Hampshire near Easter. www.watercressline.co.uk which is quite an easy drive down the A31 from Guildford, through Farnham and on to Ropley.

StarExpat · 15/03/2011 11:22

Thanks both :)

NN - about how far from Guildford on the A3 is that? Then I can judge total distance from me.

Around 30 miles. Google Map (Put your location in box B and click Get Directions)

Hi StarExpat

That Day Out With Thomas link above is from 2009, this is the latest events list: events.hitentertainment.com/gb/day-out-with-thomas/index.asp

The nearest Day Out With Thomas events to you are Mid Hants railway www.watercressline.co.uk or Kent & East Sussex railway www.kesr.org.uk - I would highly recommend them both for a great value family day out and well worth the journey.

Thank you :)

Is there a Thomasland at Chessington?

StarExpat · 18/03/2011 12:54

We are very near there... I have not seen one.

The watercressline one is FAB. I took ds1(7) there twice. and am going to book ds2(2) in for the april one (is running 16th-25th april) - £48 for family. think its worth it.

StarExpat · 18/03/2011 13:19

I will book tickets soon.

£16 per adult £10 per child. Slightly cheaper (just) with just one dc. That's quite expensive. But he does love Thomas. Are there other activities on the day? I know a few are listed, but is it a lot of waiting in queues or not so bad?

It is expensive. and it is good/alright. but there are queues, yes. face painting and a race between thomas another engine and you can ride on toad etc. One day we went the queues were alot better than the time before. just luck.
