I'm working out costs etc for a new job offer.
Anyone give me a rough idea?

You would need to research the going rate for your area. I am in Dorset 5hrs childcare would cost £20.

Various factors could affect the cost, such as number of children, how old they are, the time of day care is needed, the type of childcare.

It would depend a nanny who potentially if same hrs every week may be able to fit it around her current job and you would be looking at around £50 gross for 5hrs (thats per family so same if you have 1 or 4 children)

A childminder would cost anywhere from £15-£30 per child for 5hrs - thats if you can find one with a space willing to commit to just 5hrs a week - maybe more likely if on a mon or fri as it would be easier for them to fill the other 4 days whereas if you needed mid week it could impact on taking another mindee for several days - hope that makes sense.

A nursery you would prob be paying for a whole day (although my local montesorri does 5 ,6, 7hr and full day (10hr) prices) you would be looking for £40-£55 a day per child.
