What to do? I've had no vocher money go in my account for Feb ,now 9 days LATE,and won't be in my account until monday. Parents were not notified to re- reg after a year with the vocher company, so the payment was automatically stopped , the voucher company say it's parents fault. would you serve a LATE payment fee?? and to who????? sorry if it's brief .

Parents are responsible for paying an invoice on time. They failed to do that, so if the terms of the agreement are that there is late payment fee, then Yes the parents should pay that.

However look at the bigger picture... late payment fees are there for persistent late payers in my view, not for one-off occasions when historically the client has always paid on time.

What costs have you incurred due to the payment being 9 days late (plus expected costs until the payment reaches your account)?

Is this likely to be a long-term client? Always hard to know that one but it sounds as though they have been with you for a while, so you could well expect them to stay with you for a while... don't want to upset that relationship over a late payment fee.

nannynick thankyou I don't want to upset anyone, and my mindee has been with me a long time and payment's have only ever been a day or two late, this time I've been able to' rob Peter to pay paul'so there's no harm done. I just think that with parents being busy working etc that an email or txt from the voucher company to remind them would'nt hurt. I've put a note in my diary for next year.

Mana which voucher company was it, I have never heard of having to Re Reg, and have just taken on a computershare Voucher, please tell me it wasnt them.

Agree with you that the voucher companies and the companies who outsource to them should have better systems in place. Alas some don't. Not easy for a parent to change the company used. So putting a note in your diary to remind the parents next year sounds a good idea.

It's not a My Family Care one is it?

Why are you receiving 1-2 days late? It takes 3 working days for the voucher company to transfer the money in to your account. So tell the parents to transfer the money 3 days before your pay day. Simple. Then you will get your money on time.
