This year has been very busy with me. Not just childminding but also studying my NVQ3 Children Learning and Development. Its been very informative and interesting. I have been to bed so many times in the early hours of the morning. Coming to an end shortly.

Its a bit more comfortable now as I have a little more time for my kids. We did some baking the other day and we also started planting strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes etc. etc.

I think when it all finish I will defiantly take a good rest, treat myself and treat my family.

You can be busy in two ways, be busy and not really have the to get on top of what needs doing or be busy and see things getting done. At last I feel as though I am connquering the moutain of paperwork. Grin

I feel better for writing this.... What about you, what have you been doing?

This year has been a big one for me so far... I'm expecting my first baby in July (which i?m sooo excited about) and call me crazy, but i have also started to turn my sideline work (as a nanny/maternity nurse) into my own business!

I've been a nanny/maternity nurse for such a long time and have spent recent years also working as a head-hunter for families looking for a nanny etc; but with the imminent arrival of my baby i have decided to use my expertise to step it up a gear and start my own agency! (lots of people have said i am crazy for doing this with a baby on the way?!)

I completely empathise with your comment... "You can be busy in two ways, be busy and not really have the to get on top of what needs doing or be busy and see things getting done."

I think i've finally got to grips with being as productive as i can be, but it's taken a few weeks!

It's great to hear that you're conquering the mountain of paperwork and getting to spend more time with the kids! I hope that it stays that way!

p.s. you've inspired me to get planting my seeds! :0)

Fab year for me so far. DH and I are busy with CM. DD doing well at school. Lovely children to look after and lovely parents. On the downside I have a tough OU course on the go and no money in the bank, but still feeling positive. Not yet decided if DDs new boyfriend is good or bad news?

Well I'm also expecting DC which is fab but the weather is hellish (hot and humid) which doesn't mix well with the end of pregnancy.

I LOVE my job, but it's getting intense and I hate DH's at the moment because we have no idea whether we're coming or going and if we're not going I need to renew my teaching contract and find a nanny. If we are I want to know where so I can start looking for a job that will accept nanny with own child or register as a CM.

I have a tough OU course which I think I enjoy, but it's a lot of detailed work which isn't that compatible with baby brain (which does definitely exist).
