Is there anything that annoys you about your nanny?

A parent told me today that they were irritated that their nanny wouldn't try new foods with the children, although the nanny said she was concerned about allergic reactions.

Are there any little (or big) things that annoy you about your nanny?

I have always thought that if there is something about your nanny that annoys you, it needs to be raised and dicussed. As in the instance you mentioned above.

Unless you are talking about irrational irritations (I hate the manky perfume she wears, or does she have to eat with her mouth open, or... goodness, whatever.....!), in which case, deal with it!

Nothing annoys me about our nanny. She is lovely, and if I have any issues with what she does or the way she does it, I just raise them and talk them out.

Im sure nannies have lots of things that niggle them about their bosses Wink

Haha, yes, I am CERTAIN of it!

(Control freakery would, I'm guessing, come TOP of the list......!)

Nope! I love our current nanny. She is fabulous. DS is 3 now, and I'm not sure whether we will be able to justify keeping her on when he eventually goes to full time school (though I know that I would ahve to think about covering illness, holidays, lead-in period when he isn't doing full days etc). In fact, I'm considering having another baby partly to keep her on then (and ok, I'll admit it, also to give DS a sibling/give in to DH's burning desire for another child/go on maternity leave again etc)!

i am sure there are things that i do that annoy my mb/db but obv not enough for them to mention it iyswim

generally as long as their children are happy/well cared for then they are happy and leave me to it

if there was a problem then they would bring it up, just as i would :)

Nope. The only thing I don't like is that she lives too far away to be able to do more days for me!

HAHAHA... nannyl I?m sure you are right!! ...One nanny signed up with us recently and during her registration interview she told me that after 2 years with the same family, the mum still calls her 3 times a day for an update!
