Annually at the beginning of April, even if only by a few pence. Better than a surprise big increase occasionally. Parents know to expect it then. I send out notification mid Feb usually & then issue contract revisions in march to be signed effective from 1st week in April

once a year used to be September (parents didnt complain then as it was the end of the holidays ;)

But now I do it 1st July so they have a full invoice for the tax credit review.

Once a year I 'review' my fees. My handbook states I do this in Sept/Oct time with it all being confirmed by the end of October. The actually increase is then with effect from 1st February the following year. This way they get plenty of notice if there is an increase. Usualy I put them up every year but this time I haven't simply because we've had a lot of personal stuff going on (me medically, dh and i splitting up then back together, dh assisting then not etc.) and they'd all be fab so I felt this was a good way of saying thanks (this time though I did say I'd be reviewing it again in 6 months just to make sure I'm not stuck in case I need to increase - bloomin price of food and stuff!! grrr).

Once a year - 1st Jan (thinking of reviewing the date, as it is just after Christmas)

HSMM - I used to do from Jan but changed to Feb for that very reason! Parents appreciated it a lot :)
