Childminder - how long in advance - NW3 London

Hi there,

I am expecting my first baby in June and was "warned" that in some areas I need to book childminders or nurseries a year or so in advance.

Does this make sense to book now for January 2012?

Does anyone have good recommendations for a childminder in NW3 London?

Thanks

Can't offer advice for your area, but with my first son I found my CM when I was 4 months pregnant.
This time I am looking 3 months ahead and really struggling to find one that I am comfortable with.
It is a more the looking and visiting that takes time. I would maybe start 6 months before hand if your area is in high demand.
