Part time childminder or nanny?? Chester

I'm returning to work Mon - Wed, and need someone to pick my little boy up from preschool at 12.30, after lunch club and look after him (either at childminders house or if I can find a part time nanny to take him home) until about 3.15.

Is this a common request or am I mad to think I can find someone for 3 hours a day for 3 days?

I have contacted several childminders local to his preschool (we live about 5 miles away), fingers crossed I can get this sorted!

I'm not too sure about a childminder, but you're definitely mad to think that you can find a nanny for 3 hours a day over just 3 days a week.

However, from my experience (as a nanny and as the co-founder of The Nanny Tree) you should expect to pay a higher hourly rate to compensate for the lack of hours.

For instance, we recently placed a nanny in a similar position (1pm to 4:30pm Tue to Fri) and her hourly rate was £12.00 (GROSS). She had her own child of 6 months and these hours suited her perfectly.

So... these nannies are out there - they're maybe just a bit harder to find!

Good Luck

Hi there Mirrorball

I am a childminder in Boughton, Chester and I would be more than happy to do this.

Message me if you would like a chat

Hi, not sure if you have now sorted your childcare or where you live, but I am a childminder in Vicars Cross and would be available to do this.

If you are interested let me know.

I was going to tell you to contact the childminder's co-ordinator in Vicar's Cross but it looks like you're sorted already!
I wish I'd had MN when I was looking for a Chester childminder to do just this. Envy
