Another car seat question

I do have three car seats across the back of my Sedona but we did try a few before we found a model that worked. My problem is that I care for a three and a half year old who is quite big for her age and really too big for these "baby" seats with five-point harness, but also not to be trusted in a booster seat with three point harness - always wriggling out, undoing the buckle etc and generally putting me on edge trying to watch her whilst driving. Does anyone know of a seat with five point harness for bigger kids - maybe geared for children with special needs?

britax do one but it is very very expensive.

all the normal 5point harness seats can only be used until 18kg, those that are multi-group you can still only use the harness until 18kg

i had a charge once who managed to wiggle out of seatbelt on the motorway.
I pulled off and was really really cross with him. i shouted at him and really scared him.... and he never got un-belted again

i think the huge shock worked, he had never before (or since) seen me that cross...

The Britax 'two way elite' is a 9-36kg seat that has a 5point harness and is both forward and rear facing.

You can only get it from one place in uk. 'In Car Saftey centre' in milton keynes. They do have a web site and you can order it online. Its about £197.

A friend of mine just got this for her very large 3 yr old. She rang them up as she lives miles away and wanted some advice. They were realy helpfull and were able to tell her that they had fitted them in the same make of vehicle as hers before so it would fit.

I use [[http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_97385_10001 these with my 'big' 3/4 year olds.
