Toyota Previa and Toyota Estima 8 seaters. Both great. Comfortable and plenty of boot space.

Bumpity bump. I'm hunting for an 8 seateer right now (need one by end of March!) so very interested in this thread :)

childminder90210 · 04/02/2011 13:24

Looney - my 8 seater os fab!!!! but if you go for one dont get an automatic one as they are well known for being a nightmare!!!! It also has window blinds built into all windows sliding doors that work off the key and loads more!!!! 8 seat versions a re quite hard to find though and they dont manufacture this car anymore. I really want a replacement but I am considering getting a 9 seater vehicle as lots of my after schoolies are over 8 now so taking up space I could be making money with lol

I have a Kia Sedona (7 seater) but have hired a 9 seater VN Shuttle in the past when I have needed more seats. The hire vehicle is a bit basic e.g. no carpets but is brilliant at sitting lots of children Grin. The one I hire is a long wheel base on, so it has mases of boot space as well to chuck in the buggy, coats, bags etc & is easy to clean out before returning as any mud can just be wiped off.
I sometimes think I would like one permanently but then consider how infrequently I would use it fully as my school run is done walking & therefore only use one occasionally in the holidays, hence hiring when requirerd. If I had to drive to school, then I would definitiely want a nine seater & would consider one of those or a Ford Transit minibus type because of the practicality of them.

Sorry I never came back to the thread. Yes, I have owned both these cars, still have one.

Mum2Luke · 10/02/2011 14:26

MOT failed and re-tested after work done - £111.75 (inclusive of VAT, labour, MOT fee and parts)

I really want a newer car - looking at buying a Ford Galaxy, new shape 2006 or 2007 reg. I've test-driven it and its lovely, not much different to mine really except its got cd and radio controls on the steering wheel which make it alot safer.
