What age are dcs?

Cycling with picnics is good. Find your local country parks or disused railways.

Are you anywhere near the beach?

When my dcs were small they would just run about for hours exploring the beach.

Country parks are great but cycling with them so young might be a bit tedious.

Definitely make up some picnics. Cheap, cheerful and nutritious.

Thanks, im about 3 miles from the beach, go there quite a bit with dog and it is a great day out.

We can spend hours in the woods (little one in pushchair).

Just going to a park with a picnic can last our little ones most of the day (baby can sleep in pushchair while you walk off lunch/hunt for bugs/leaves/wildlife).

Geocaching.com - find treasure boxes, add a small thing to the box, take a thing from the box. Involves walking and hunting through undergrowth which 3yr olds quite like sometimes. I've even done it in the snow. 6mth old will need to be carried in a sling/backcarrier.

If the weather is bad get all your recycling boxes in and make models of dinosaurs/pirate ships/cars/castles etc out of rubbish.

Robbie the Giant Robot lived in our conservatory for years!
