A while ago I looked after a little one who was sleeping,at a childminders home, she had to go to a funeral.

Do I need to put it down as emergency childminding or baby sitting. I am a childminder.

Thanks!!!!

I would put it down as babysitting as it was a one-off occasion.

an one-off occasion. My grammar is awful at the moment.

Although you won't have had much notice, its not really an emergency IMO because the childminder you covered had two other choices - not to go the funeral or to close her business for the day or half-day.

An emergency, IMO would be along the lines of getting a phone call saying could you go immediately - if the childminder was being taken off in an ambulance or something and someone was needed to watch the children just until the parents could get there.

Does it matter what you call it? Did you go over numbers?
