it's just that I was wondering whether it's worth paying the sign up fee?

Just wondered if anyone had used it, either for job hunting or for offering a job and what it was like.

TIA

I'm a childminder and don't pay so I can't contact people but I have had several enquiries as a result of being listed on there :)

I use it as a nanny and have had a couple of enquiries from it :)

As a childminder I have used it and look every day for clients on there. We have one child that came from there on our books and we have a couple of enquires from it. one in the process of sorting out an interview with.

I think it is one of the better one's out there as I see that more parents are using it. The key to the sucess of it imo is to check it daily and go for all that would suit your setting. You can but try. You never know who your next client may be.

I pay the fee (i am a cm) and check it daily for new parents in my area that suit me. I contact them. I have had all my children from the site so for me it has been well worth it and will renew when it is due again.

I agree, if I was looking for work then I'd definitely think it's worth paying as it's surprising how many people do use it!! And on top of the enquiries, I've had loads of alerts telling me my profile has been looked at (guess they look at website and see I'm full so don't bother emailing). Out of interest, how much does it cost to sign up to the full service? Just that a good friend of mine is struggling for work so might be worth her going on there.

For 3 motnhs it is £19.99, not sure of the other prices, but it does work out less permonth if you go for a bigger chunk i.e 6 or 12 months.

I signed up to it, and did find a good babysitter.

BEWARE however, as I didn't think they made it clear enough and I had no idea that when paying through Paypal, they will take the fee EVERY 3 MONTHS unless you specifically go into you Paypal account and cancel the recurring payment. This pissed me off a lot.
