Do you use CCTV outside your house?

To monitor who comes to your door? Keep an eye on your car?
I live in a quiet street, but do get some 'strangers' just loitering. No reason to be there as there is no through road.

I just want to get some kind of 'photo' system that takes a photo or short film of whatever 'triggered it'.

Also I've had trouble with youths, especially in the night hanging around, so want to protect my vehicle.

We do. Altho since we have a new tv i dont no if its tuned in havent tried it. Someone came on to our drive a few years ago and slashed our tyres so we've had it since then also got a big light that comes on and a bleeper that bleeps everytime someone comes onto the drive.

no I don't

might be worth a chat with your local neighbourhood watch person/crime prevention team? I'll bet there are issues around CCTV and images

See what your Early Years Team can suggest - or have a squizz at local nurseries' entrances; if they have CCTV you could nip in and have a word

The CCTV would be high up on the house so looking down onto my garden and driveway. Only a small portion of the pavement (just outside the driveway is visible and there are no houses in view, so I'm not overlooking anyone.
Another reason I want it, is that someone lets their dog poo in my garden and once I find out who it is I'll give them it back Angry

We are in a small village but sometimes it feels like I'm in the middle of an estate!

You can only monitor your own property. You are treading dodgy ground if you are filming public property so I was told by a policeman (although I query this because if you were out and about taking photos - no one can stop you).
