Please can someone tell me roughly how much it would cost for a childminder to take care of one child aged 18 months one day a week in SW London (Clapham area).

Thanks

I use a childminder in that area. She charges £25 a day 8am to 7pm that includes lunch and tea. I provide nappies. She is very cheap but that is because she does a lot of nursery pick ups/ school pick ups.

i recently checked out the list of lambeth cms - rates varied from £3.50ph to £7.00 per hour.

Wow £7 an hour for a childminder, I thought they were supposed to be a bit more affordable? Thats the kind of rate a nanny would charge.

£30-£40 a day sounds good to me

Thanks guys
