After school club-Blackheath

Hello,

I am currently a registered childminder in Blackheath-SE3 and I am considering expanding the after school care I currently provide by employing 2 assistants and hiring a hall on a regular basis. Would love to hear from anyone in this area mainly to confirm there is a demand for this-I have quite a lot people ask me about it on a weekly basis so I feel there is but I would love anyone's opinions and feedback on the idea!

Thanks

Kerry x

can you get a questionnaire into the local schools to see what the demand really is?

Are there any already? Wrap around care was a Big Idea a while back

I presume you need to investigate the demand based with a specific school(s) in mind - ones you/assistants can collect from. They would have to be state schools since the independent schools in the area provide good wrap around care already.

I think it is the LEA, rather than the school, that arranges afterschool provision - not sure. But perhaps that is one way of gauging demand - call them up. I know there is a wait list for a school in Greenwich.

Thanks for your messages, I've recently advertised in the local school and filled a number of places that way. Fingers crossed-I'm very excited but also a but nervous! Will let you knwo how I get on!

Make sure you pop into the big hall on Friday afternoons to get cake from the Coffee Shop Wink
