Nanny/housekeeper sought after major surgery

Hi

I am due to have major surgery later this year and will be in hospital for a week and out of sorts for at least a month afterwards.

I have two children aged 4 and 1. I am looking for someone very competent who just gets on with it and can do some cooking, shopping, tidying and cleaning and some childcare for a period of 6 weeks to 2 months and. My husband will be around for some of the time but I really want to lighten the load.

We are in London. Can anyone recommend suitable agencies? I don't have what it takes right now to go searching on Gumtree etc. And how would you describe what I am after? Nanny/housekeeper?

Thank you.

Mother's help? I think it's called that. From MN I've heard that some nannies won't do general housework but only stuff to do with the dc...(however I personally know a few nannies who also do general housekeeping duties as part of their job and think it's fair so who really knows?)
