Every day I have him this little boy says 'car' over and over again. He does love them so much and I have done many observations involving cars, but seriously it is driving me insane. He just found my sons car magazine and has been sat for the past half an hour repeatedly saying car, car car....nothing else.......im gonna go crazy!!!!!!!!

No help, but I have a little boy, not as bad, but goes mad every time we see a tractor or any farm vehicle. Makes me jump when we are in the car if he manages to spot one I haven't seen, he will shout as loud as he can and demands I look, even if I am driving .

I had a mindee once that used to really grate on my nerves, they couldn't talk but used this one noise all day long and unfortunately it was the most irritating noise in the world, so I feel your pain!

My ds2 used to be like that about planes and every single time he saw a plane he'd shout 'ane, ane, ook, ane, ane' and basically wouldn't stop saying the word plane (ane) until I said 'oh yes, it's a plane' and then he'd laugh. Now he's 2.4 and he's just getting out of the same thing but this time for 'van' 'car' 'lorry' 'truck' 'bus'. He's not as bad now and says it but doesn't need me to acknowledge every one (thank god! lol). Had a mindee who was like this about tractors and that was the only word he said for what seemed like forever.

Remember 'it's just a phase' (I was chanting this on the nursery run earlier when ds2 was CONSTANTLY trying to shut the door that should be open/messing with the handle!!!

What is it about tractors that kids love so much?! My boy mindee is besotted with tractors and labels anything that moves 'trak-tooooor' in a slightly strange voice that he doesn't use for anything else!!
