Does anyone know where i can do one?

I know tigerlily do one on saturdays but was seeing if theres any closer to me.

I live in wimbledon so anywhere in south west london would be great.

Is there any nannies that have done one? how was it?

6 Hour, surely you need a 12 hour one, as that is what is required under the EYFS for child carers?

crispycake · 03/11/2010 17:52

ive looked and read up on it a little bit.
It says it is suitable for childcare workers who are wanting to join the voluntry ofsted registration.

tiger lilly is a nanny agency and they are holding them, hmm i will wait and see if anyone else posts

I've done a very short course that meets Ofsted requirements, message me if you are interested. They hold it in either Fulham (Parson's Green) or Chelsea.

Should specify - this course is only for nannies, not childminders.

crispycake · 03/11/2010 18:15

BONKERS yeah im a nanny.

that would be great if you could give me details

thanks

Why would it not be suitable for childminders? Surely if it isn't suitable for them, then it isn't suitable for nannies either. Or am I missing something?

Nick childminders are required to take a 12-hr cert for Ofsted. Nannies are only required to take 'suitable for Ofsted' - there are some intensive courses that nannies can take which meet the Ofsted Voluntary register - but not the compulsory (i.e. childminders)
