Nannies - Xmas meal with family?

Not on the day itself, but the week before?

Would like to take our nanny our for a meal before Xmas with the kids (our treat)

Is this weird?

We will be giving her a bonus as well ...

Any thoughts appreciated

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not weird at all, but in fact very nice. I go out with my nanny and children for lunch every week and it's something we all look forward to.

nannynick · 28/10/2010 20:04

No not weird. I've certainly had that happen before. For example I've had a trip to see a pantomime followed by dinner out.

euracantha · 28/10/2010 20:05

My bosses took me out for my birthday with the children.Several employers have also taken me out in the past. They bought me a present also,it was a very enjoyable evening.

Igglybuff · 28/10/2010 20:07

Sounds like a nice idea. My bosses at work treat us to meals sometimes, around holiday periods or when we're celebrating the end of a project.

Thanks All ....

So, not weird at all!?

not weird at all - i have been for a few meals with my familys - nice to have a chat and a glass of wine :0

wrinklyraisin · 28/10/2010 21:58

Also think it's lovely :) nice to catch up, gossip and relax with some decent food and wine. It's important to maintain the working relationship IMO.

I don't see much of my bosses so when we are all at home at the same time we have a "family dinner" Grin and we have already booked our Xmas dinner 2 months in advance lol.
