First - time nanny employer (me) had nanny all lined up and ready to start in a week or so when i return to work (sob).
SHe has taken out nanny insurance which looks comprehensive enough.
Do I as her employer need any additional insurance to the usual household stuff?

Check your policy. You should have some level of cover included for domestic employees but it's worth ringing up your insurer and asking exactly what that means.

Employers liability insurance - usually included in your home contents policy but check the policy.
If you have accidental damage cover, then that may not apply if your nanny does something - check the policy wording.
