Any recently registered Scottish childminders around, what is this Statement of financial standing they are now requiring from your bank. My bank don't seem to have a clue what they are looking for?

no idea ive been registered 4 years but i dont see why care commission need anything from your bank its none of there business

I can't find anything on the Scottish care commission website, have you tried ringing the SCMA for guidance? I can't help as am a CM in England

Its just a letter saying you have a bank account etc. Ask Care Commission to send you a letter to give to bank requesting it. Although my bank are being pain about it and Im trying to get CC to send another letter saying basic info is ok as bank seem to think they are looking for a credit report. WTF.
On the bright side not having it doesnt seem to hold up registration as friend just got her certificate on condition that when the bank eventually gives her financial statement she will send it to them. Hopefully wont be too long till I get mine too.
