PP cancelled - at least my house is super tidy now!

I was supposed to have a lady coming this morning with her baby, looking for 2 days childcare.

I spent ages last night cleaning and sorting all the baby toys (haven't looked after a small baby for a while). I also blitzed the house this morning. I'm only working on a Thursday at the moment and I let it slide the rest of the week Blush.

Anyway, 15 minutes after they were supposed to be here I decided to check my answerphone and there was a message from her canceling Sad.

At least my house will now, hopefully, stay tidy until Thursday and I won't have the frantic tidying tomorrow night!!

I could really do with some children now though!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh no :( Did she say why she cancelled?

mogs0 · 19/10/2010 12:06

She's got the baby a nursery place instead.

how inconsiderate and rude..

imagine getting payments out of her..

lucky escape ..annoying for you though..

It's ok, I'm quite pleased the house is now so tidy!

I'm disappointed though because the age of baby and days/hours would have suited my current set-up quite well.

Hey-ho, I'm sure there'll be another family just around the corner! - I hope so anyway!!

sorry mum changed her mind but least you have a clean house [hgrin]

Ha, I know! I'm usually up until really late on a Wednesday night getting the place ready for Thurday mornings early start (1st mindee arrives at 7.30am) so I'm looking forward to going to bed nice an early tomorrow - as long as ds doesn't undo all my hard work when he gets home from school!

thebody - a bit harsh to call her inconsiderate and rude? The message could have been on the answerphone for a while. At least she phoned to cancel. I would have agreed with you if she'd just failed to show up.

Message was left while I was on the school run this morning but I rarely check the home phone because people hardly ever phone it, let alone leave a message on it!
