Aupair job

Hello all,

I'm a regular to these boards who has namechanged fairly recently. I'm looking for an aupair job as my living circumstances have changed quite suddenly. I'm looking for an AP role in London, preferably west London as that's where I'm from. I'm currently living in another UK city. I have looked on Gumtree and Aupair World but I was wondering where else I can look? I don't have much money to sign up to websites or agencies.
I have experience as an aupair and a mother's help. I also have experience with children with sn.

I think you're looking for more than £80 for a 25 hour week, surely?

I've worked in the uk as an aupair before and I'm from the uk. London wages seem to be about the figure you have suggested or a slight bit more but maybe for a few more hours. I'm not looking for more money than that.

This is why I hate the term au pair, given that there's officially no such thing (unless you're from Romania or Bulgaria). You're just looking for a PT live in childcare job and you're well within your rights to do so.

Agencies in the UK are not allowed to charge you. Report any that do to the REC - only modelling agencies are permitted to charge jobseekers in the UK.

Why do you specifically want an AP job? Is it to fit around study? Why not sign up with a few nanny agencies as you have experience and say you want a PT/after school live in job?
