I am looking for a childminder in Leamington Spa for DS, who will be 2 in about 2 weeks. It's quite urgent as I also need him to be able to start in 2 weeks, at the beginning of October. I am starting a part time degree course and I am not 100% sure of the dates or times yet, as the timetable has not yet been finalised, but there is a degree of flexibility as I can choose my modules to fit around the childcare, at least this year, and then by next year I will have more notice. Apologies that this sounds a bit haphazard and last minute.
I am looking for around 8 or 9 hours a week and preferably it would be in the Sydenham/Radford Road sort of area although I will look at any nearby. I can't drive so cannot consider any out of town in the surrounding villages.
I'm quite attachment-parenting minded and would not get on well with someone who was the complete opposite e.g. a supernanny type approach, although I am open minded and the most important thing to me is that DS is happy and feels comfortable in the environment. He has been attending a very small creche at the Children's Centre over the past few months and has really improved with separation having struggled with it at first so I am hoping that he will cope well with a childminder type setting.
If anybody knows of a childminder locally (or is one!) then please let me know. Even if you are not sure whether they have current vacancies as I am happy to phone and make enquiries.
