Thrilled to say that the registrations for me and my dh arrived today.

Our council pays for our 1st year of childcare insurance.

Our nanning job wants to become childminding asap but we have no insurance yet. Can the mum use our active reg numbers and we use the 2 hour rule in our house? Do we call it childminding or Nannying still??

Anyone from Richmond borough know how long it takes to get insurance?

If you go with the NCMA you can start your insurance when you phone them.
You need to become a member with them 1st tho.

Well if they ring up NCMA it will start from then; but knowing councils it could be weeks before they do a chq run, then send it off, NCMA process it then send cert to the council who then send it to you

Good luck
