dog crate is a fab idea Grin
all my after school child love to play in their den under my stairs Smile i call them Harry Potter
when a parent comes in, i say x your mum is here and out he pops from under the stairs

I use my playpen occasionally, to stop the baby being stamped on. Ofsted don't seem to have any opinion in my experience. (Thinks a dog crate is a great idea)

play pens are a practical solution to keep children safe.. so of course Orsted will have some problem with them, you must have a policy, procedure, risk assessment.. blah blah... roll on the cuts I say!!!
