Am I going mad? Outstanding CM question

hello, tis I, BALDy

As you know I was awarded Outstanding at my inspection in June

I am sure that the inspector said I would get a special cert and a something - logo? on a disc? - to put on my paperwork

I've had nothing apart from my report (which was lovely) but am I dreaming the special cert and logo thing?

Not sure about special certificate but loads on here have had o/s so sure they'll answer soon. What I do know is that you get a logo which you can use. It says what year you were graded outstanding.

Well done on the outstanding BALDy :)

Logo Guidance
There is an e-mail address in the Guidance, so may be worth sending them an e-mail and asking for the latest 2010 guidance and logo files.

KatyMac · 29/08/2010 19:28

But they only send it out once a year.....so you wait months

Email & ask them to send it

PedlarsSpanner · 29/08/2010 19:37

aha

thank you both

I'll email and see what happens x x x

The first time I got OS, had to wait nearly a year for mine, because they only sent them out once a year. Sept 06, received Sept 07 and celebration lunch Dec 07!!

They changed it a while back, and this time insp. May, 2010, received it all a month later as stated. a special certificate and CD. I would chase it up if I were you.

PedlarsSpanner · 29/08/2010 19:54

thanks ali

I got a logo on a disc, but I had to wait for ages. (phone up and ask for it)

leeloo1 · 29/08/2010 20:58

I got mine after about 2 months, but it was a big pain - there were loads of rules about how you had to use the logo, which made me decide not to bother with it.

The certificate was nice - except they spelt my name wrong, but hey, you can't have everything! :)

Tas1 · 30/08/2010 15:21

Yes you will get a certificate and a disc with a logo you can use on your paperwork but mine took over 3 months to arrive.

stomp · 31/08/2010 16:22

Complain. I did when it didnt arrive. And then they sent out my certificate and disk straight away- well they made a mistake on the certificate Biscuit so i complained (again) Grin and they sent it out again.

Ripeberry · 31/08/2010 23:22

I got my outstanding in March, report in April and the logo pack finally arrived in July.
It can take up to 6 months Sad

Millenium · 02/09/2010 12:10

Ofsted's process is that you will will receive the certificate and CD with the logo at the end of the month following publication of your inspection report - not the end of the month following inspection. Therefore if your report takes a while to be uploaded and published (for whatever reason), it can seem a long time.

I had my inspection in early May but it did not get published until 3rd June - consequently, I received the things from them on 31st July. I understand from other O/S minders around here that the envelopes always arrive on or around the very last day of the month.

The logo is very useful and I have been able to use it on all my stationery (invoices, letterheads, brochure etc.)

ForzaDelDestino · 05/09/2010 14:01

an update

received the folder with lovely cert/disc/some blurb about how to use, recommended positioning on your paperwork etc etc

great, yes?

no

ffs it's got 2009/2010 all over it

As I was inspected in June 2010 then surely this is 2010/2011

???

Ripeberry · 05/09/2010 14:30

They have an inspection cycle, the next one is 2011/2012 and so on.

stomp · 05/09/2010 19:28

Inspection cycle is between 1 September and 31 August- i believe.
I was lucky, my inspection was 17th September 2009, so my os logo says 2009-2010

ForzaDelDestino · 05/09/2010 19:30

aha thank you both x x x

Millenium · 06/09/2010 18:57

Yes, Ofsted work on a standard academic calendar as they are an "education" body so their 12 months does run from September round to August.
