Flexible childcare including some weekends?

I'm applying for a job which looks great but which says I would need to work 'one weekend in two'. Clearly I need to wait and see if I even get it, but I'm trying to figure out my options for childcare.

Currently it works out like this:
2 days per week at nursery
2 weekdays with his Dad
1 weekday with me
weekends with me (whist his dad usually works)

I really like the nursery he goes to but obviously they don't open on weekends, although they offer a (v expensive) nannying service but not sure if this is for weekends and is too £££.

Has anyone else come across this issue and what have you done? I don't really have family near enough to take on any regular childcare.

Thanks.

Im a cm who does some weekends. I charge regular rates +£1ph (Also have low 24 and 48 rates for littlies who stay over with us)
It is on the condition that the children with us at the weekend are treated as family members. eg if we go anywhere so does LO

You will just need to ring round your local cm's to find someone who does it. Im on S London/ Surrey border just incase you are local and get the job :)

Thanks very much, that's good to know! Thanks for the advice, I might get in touch if I need help - I'm in Surbiton by the way, is that near you? :)

Hi there I am in Leatherhead, what would be your exact needs should you get the job and go for the Childminder route e.g. days, hours, how many weekends etc?
