Oh I have just registered on this one, do I have to pay a fee to contact the childminders?

I'm not sure tbh, I'm a childminder and I had to pay per month if I wanted to contact parents but I know on mine I have put my website address so parents could access me via my website either by email or telephone if they didn't want to pay the fee's I think unless childcare.co.uk has blanked that bit of my info and I don't know about it.

Have you tried googling child care or childminder in crystal palace and seeing what comes up?

LoveMyGirls · 24/08/2010 21:56

I just googled and found this page....coperscopechildminder.co.uk/copers_cope_childminders.html hth

try www.childmindingforum.co.uk
you perhaps may find a minder from your area on there.
childcare.co.uk - no, I don't think parents have to pay to contact the minder.

Childcare.co.uk - I think that any initial contact being made (either way) requires a paid membership. However sometimes you can Google some of the details which the person gives and find their own website that way, it that makes sense.

Thank you all very much for the replies, will try your suggestions. Smile

Try the local council.

I'm up North but my local council gave me a list of childminders.

Hi,
I use childcare.co.uk and if you want to contact anyone you have to pay whether your looking or offering, i'm on there but i don't pay a monthly fee as i'm looking for a babysitter so I can't send messages to anyone but I can recieve messages and have had a lot of messages back from babysitters and childminders, having said that I have seen 4 people from there and none where suitable, the local council have a list of Ofsted registered childminders which is what i had used in the past when I was working.

I'm looking for a childminder to pick up my 6 year old from a school in dagenham as I'm starting working this week

It’s free to put a basic profile on childcare.co.uk .

To send/receive messages, at least one party has to have paid the subscription, but it doesn’t matter which.

IOW if you haven’t paid, you can still contact childminders who have paid, but you can’t contact childminders who haven’t paid.

There’s no point trying to put your own contact details, whether it’s an email address (which is dangerous in any case) or a phone number. Sooner or later they will be reported and checked by the site owners. It breaks their rules, and they tend to remove your profile and block you from rejoining, rather than just removing the contact details.
