I keep hearing shocking stories about night nannies and maternity nurses so am thimking about setting up an agency (easier said than done I fear)

I have only ever used an agency as a nanny myself so although I have a lot of ideas how to ensure I have happy nannies, how do I ensure that I have happy clients too?

What are the most important things that I need to do from your point of view?

Seems like a fab idea and you would be a great person to run one.

I actually get majority of work through word of mouth, private adverts but then in east midlands not alot of call for just night nannies alot of people have 24/6 mat nurses.

good to get clients perspectives also as you say they are the ones employing us.

good luck. I would register with you as a night nanny if you did set one up.

Fab idea we use Deearnas so perhaps you could email her for some usefull imfo on setting up an agency,i was picking her brains over agencies and she gave me some superb tips, it wasnt going to be as easy as i thought and mine was just going to be babysitting so i gave up, Deearna encouraged me to try but i decided not to.We have used her many many times infact we wouldnt go anywhere else, She really has what a lot of agencies lack and thats empathy and time and no mention of fees until you are entirely happy- she just seemed to have your best interest at heart rather than her pocket, thats what you call a good agency that will get repeat business, i didnt see an invoice until my helper started where as most agencies invoice before your help starts. You will do very well its just all about understanding your clients needs and not what you think they need
